Are you one of the first guests who will visit us this year? Wonderful! We are working hard to make sure everything is ready when you arrive.
While you wait, take a look here for our tips about events and exhibitions you cannot miss during your stay at Ca’Savio in the month of April 2018!
Enjoy the mild weather of April and visit Venice: except on Easter time or on the occasion of the Feast of St Mark (April 25), Venice is not too much crowded and you will have the chance to admire its beauty with calm. You can easily drive to Punta Sabbioni (far from the campsite only 3 km), park your car there and take the boat to Venice or to the islands of the lagoon Burano, Murano and Torcello. If you prefer not to drive, you can take the bus to the harbour after a 10 minutes walk up to the center of the village of Ca’Savio.
If you love Renaissance painting, a must is a stop at the Querini Stampalia Foundation: from March 21 the two “Presentation at the Temple”, masterpieces in the universal history of art , one by Giovanni Bellini and the other by Andrea Mantegna are compared in a great exhibition located in one of the most important House Museum in the world.
In Cavallino, located at a short distance from the campsite, you will find the Vettor Pisani Battery, an ancient military building erected from 1902 to 1912. The fortification is made up of a central body on a single level of more than 80 metres long. Two parallel tunnel lead to the telemetry turrets and to the two long side wings. The battery has been restored and opened last year and worth for sure a visit!
Moreover, just at the end of the month, on April 30, will start the 48th “Festa dea Sparesea” (Asparagus Feast) in city center of Cavallino. From 05.00 p.m. “spritz corner”, food stands and concerts will entertain you also the day after on May 1.
More to do nearby the campsite? Every week you can visit the weekly markets in Cavallino (on Tuesdays), Treporti (on Thursdays) and in Jesolo (on Fridays).
In Jesolo, we suggest you also to visit the exhibition “Egypt” where you can admire unique finds from the biggest Italian and international museums, scenographic reconstructions and reproductions on a 1: 1 scale.
The entrance ticket for this exhibition, allows you to enter also at the nearby Tropicarium Park, that holds about 1000 specimens of animals. Do you have young kids? No problem! Fun is guaranteed also for them: you can entertain them for a couple of hours at the Sealife Aquarium in Jesolo!
