Visit Camping Ca’Savio in low season: a great opportunity for your holiday!

Are you planning to visit Ca’Savio during the low season and are you wondering what to do during your holiday? Read on and discover the great possibilities offered by our surroundings during less busy periods!
The low season, thanks to long stretched days and warm weather, is the best period to discover our beautiful surroundings through wonderful day trips. You can join great tours by bike or boat in the lagoon or simply ride your bicycle to the old villages of Lio Piccolo, Saccagnana and Mesole whilst you admire the charming lagoon landscape with its typical sand banks and fish valleys.

These are the best locations for the bird watching or to enjoy the untouched nature of Cavallino Treporti at the sunset.

Other places to visit by bike are:

  • Treporti, stop here to visit the SS. Trinità Church (16th century) and its two bell towers
  • Punta Sabbioni, which houses the pier to Venice, the ancient fort dating back to the Austrian domination and a long promenade to the lighthouse with a fantastic view of the lagoon
  • Cavallino, with St. Maria Elisabetta Church (18th century) overlooking the square and the 48 meters high lighthouse located on the mouth of the Sile river
  • The fortification systems along the coastline of Cavallino-Treporti, as Amalfi Battery, Mandracio Barracks, Ca’Pasquali Barracks, San Marco Battery and Vettor Pisani Battery, built to defend Venice first during the Austrian domination and later during both World Wars.

Venice and the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello are easily accessible from the campsite. The two piers of Punta Sabbioni and Treporti are far from the campsite only 3-4 kilometers. You can get there by car, by bike or by bus and leave around every half an hour! Venice, with its canals and museums, and the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello, with their prestigious art of lace and glass working and ancient historical artifacts dating back to the birth of Venice, worth well a visit especially during the off-season when they are less crowed and the temperature is not very hot!

Are you travelling with kids? There is a lot to do, also for young kids! In Jesolo you will find the Sealife Aquarium, the Tropicarium Park, the Natural History museum and the museum of Military History. Also Venice and the lagoon islands can be visited with kids: you only have to travel light and choose the best paths and places for you! A little far from us, but it’s not impossible to spend there a day, you will find the amusement park of Gardaland
If you are a sport lover, don’t miss the chance to jogging on the beach early in the morning, along the around 13 km long pedestrian and cycle lane which connects Punta Sabbioni to Cavallino or surrounded by the lagoon landscape of Lio Piccolo, Saccagnana and Mesole.

Not far from the campsite you can also drive go-karts, play tennis and golf or rent electric boats and canoes for excursions in the lagoon of Cavallino-Treporti.
Do you want to spend few hours doing shopping? Visit the weekly markets in Cavallino (on Tuesdays), in Treporti (on Thursdays) or in Jesolo (on Fridays) where you can by food, souvenirs and clothes and much more. Also the nearby city of Jesolo offers you the opportunity to do shopping in the many shops along Via Bafile or in the outdoor shopping center located close to the main road and the many attractions of the city. Are you looking instead for big shopping malls? In less than an hour you can reach by car several shopping centers located in San Donà di Piave, Marcon, Noventa di Piave and Mestre and of course don’t forget Venice, with its shops for all budgets!
