The small and almost uninhabited village of Lio Piccolo, located not far from the campsite, worth well a visit.
The best way to get there is by bicycle: in this way you will admire the lagoon landscape and even the typical fruit trees of this wet brackish water area, the jujube, that mature at the end of the summer.
This fruit, consumed fresh or used in the preparation of compotes and jams, is celebrated every year in September with a festival that brings adults and children together.
This year the Jujube Festival will take place on September 18 on the square of Lio Piccolo. Music, food stands and entertainment for everyone will be available all day long. We suggest you to reach the festival by bike or by the shuttle service departing from the village of Saccagnana.
Here the programme of the festival:
- 11:00 a.m.: Holy Mess
- 12:00 p.m.: Food stands opening
- 02:00 p.m.: Entertainment for kids and adults
- 04:00 p.m.: Music performed by “Teresa Music Group” (free entry)
