Travel low cost by BUS to Ca’Savio

Starting from this year you can travel low cost to the campsite also by bus from the most important cities in Europe. How to do? It is easy but especially cheap!

The bus operators FlixBus and Megabus (maybe you have already seen their colored buses travelling in your country – the first are green, the second are yellow and blue) connect some Italian cities, including Venice, with all of Europe.
With them you can travel at really unbeatable prices. Like airlines, ticket prices are based on availability: if you book early, you pay less (even only 5€)!
Moreover on board of their buses you can enjoy a comfortable journey without worries:

  • toilet
  • seats with extra legroom
  • snacks and drinks
  • wi-fi and plug sockets

are available on every bus. In addition you will find overhead compartments to store your hand luggage (one piece per person allowed) instead in the luggage compartments you can store a baggage of 20-30 kg (the weight and the size of the allowed baggage change depending on the bus operator as the extra price for bulky baggage or for bicycles).

FlixBus and Megabus

The German company FlixBus provides buses connecting over 550 destinations in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Austria.

In Italy you can find regular connections to Venice from Ancona, Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Bozen, Brescia, Florenz, Foggia, Genoa, Milan, Modena, Naples, Novara, Pescara, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Roma, Trieste, Turin and Verona.

From Europe you can take direct buses to Venice from Amsterdam, Antwerp, Basel/Weil am Rhein, Berlin, Brussels, Cannes, Chambéry, Chemnitz, Coblenz, Cologne, Constance, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, Lyon, Maastricht, Marseille, Munich, Paris, Stuttgart, Ulm and Zurich. These are just a few cities but there are many others connected to Venice by a direct bus or not (sometimes you have to stop in Milan and change the bus).

Megabus is an English company very famous in its country. At the moment it does not provides a direct connection to Venice from Europe, but you can get there changing the bus in Milan. In fact from Paris and from several cities in the UK (including Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and many others) you can reach Milan regularly at very profitable prices and Milan is well connected to Venice.

How to get to Ca’Savio from Venice

Both Megabus and FlixBus buses stop in Venice (Tronchetto). From Venice it is easy to reach our campsite.

Here the indications to get to Ca’Savio:

  • from Tronchetto take the railway shuttle “People Mover” to “Piazzale Roma”
  • from “Piazzale Roma” catch the waterbus to Venice Lido (line 5.1)
  • from Lido you can go by boat to Punta Sabbioni (line LN)
  • in Punta Sabbioni you will find the bus connection to Jesolo Lido and your should get off in Ca’Savio centre.

If you prefer to travel only by bus and not by boat to get to Ca’Savio, follow these directions (please note that in this way you will not drive through Venice!):

  • From Tronchetto take the railway shuttle “People Mover” to “Piazzale Roma”
  • From “Piazzale Roma” catch the bus provided by ATVO company to Lido di Jesolo (bus station)
  • From Lido di Jesolo take ATVO bus to Punta Sabbioni and get off in Ca’Savio centre.

Camping Ca’Savio is only 800m away from the centre of the town (direction beach/sea). You will need 10 minutes walking to cover the distance.
The fastest way to reach the campsite – but valid only if you travel by FlixBus – is to stop in Mestre, a city located close to Venice. The bus stop is in front of the Railway Station and from there you can reach Ca’Savio by ATVO bus. You must only take the bus to Lido di Jesolo, change the bus at the bus station and take the bus to Punta Sabbioni getting off in Ca’Savio centre.
… See you in Ca’Savio!
